USMLE Is Basically 3 Steps Examination

?Step 1 - You are Eligible to Appear after 2nd Year of MD (Doctor of Medicine) It test’s you know about Health, Disease and Modes of Therapy

New Rule From January 2024-25: No Reporting of Score of Step – 1 ; Only Pass or Fail Status will be Provided. guiding principles of the policy change was to help reduce the overemphasis on USMLE Step 1 numeric scores

Step 2 - Its divided in Two Steps: -

Step 2 - CK (Clinical Knowledge)
It Tests your ability to apply medical knowledge, skills, and understanding of clinical science essential for the provision of patient care under supervision

Step 2 - CS (Clinical Skills)
It Tests usesing standardized patients to test medical students and graduates on their ability to gather information from patients, perform physical examinations, and communicate their findings to patients and colleagues.

Step 3 – Final Examination
It Tests you and assesses whether you can apply medical knowledge and understanding of biomedical and clinical science essential for the unsupervised practice of medicine, with emphasis on patient management in ambulatory settings. It is the final examination in the USMLE sequence leading to a license to practice medicine without supervision
